Things to do

To build on your interest in the arts and in textiles there are many things that you can do:

• Talk to other people who share the same interest.
• Read relevant books and magazines, so you are always up to date on the latest fashions and ideas.
• Look on the Internet for artists and techniques. Search using Google.
• Become more aware of what you see in shops, what colours are in fashion, embellishments, and shapes.
• Try to visit exhibitions.
• Always, always, be on the look out for interesting colours, shapes and effects wherever you see them around you. You never know when something will find its way into your art.
