What inspired your love of music - is there a particular DJ you admire?

Uhm, not really, it’s just a natural thing, I’ve always loved to do it from a young age.

Who or what is your greatest musical inspiration?

To me that’s like a trick question you know, ‘cause I’ve got many different like, inspirations and that, so it’s hard to pinpoint it to one.

What sort of music do you want to make?

Ooh, there’s not even one type I’d like to make. I’d like to make a whole wide range of music.

Where will you be and what would you like to be doing in five years' time?

Well, I can’t say exactly what I’d be doing in five years. What I would like to be doing is producing some beats, dj-ing to some sounds, and training the youngsters to bring their talent forward.

How helpful do you think this course at Dep Studios has been for your career as a musician?

It’s been very helpful, because I’ve always wanted to be a musician, and it wasn’t always, without big requirement. Dep Studios was offering a free course to train and just get your talent noticed basically. And they’ve given my talent a boost, like I’m full like, of confidence to do what I’m doing.

Was it a good experience to work with lots of other talented musicians?

Yeah, it’s a good experience, so every day, (everything) working with young musicians isn’t it, on the basis that I can learn from them and they can learn from me.

What has been the best part of the course for you?

The best part of the course? Was like, a particular one? ‘Cause I enjoyed the whole course, isn’t it, but if I had to narrow it down, probably just doing the practical work, just getting onto the decks and doing what I’m doing.

   What will you do next?

What I be doing next is starting a music course, at the Birmingham Academy, which is like a music through technology course, which lasts, like a year and a half, which is my next option.

Would you recommend this course to other musicians?

Yeah I would of course, the way I see it, as you got a talent in you, and people are offering you to bring your talent out, no point in wasting it, just get on the course, so show them your stuff innit?

Do you have the confidence to take your music to the next level?

Yeah, I do feel as if I got the confidence, the question that now remains is ‘Will I get the opportunity’ innit?
