The ‘Basic DJ skills and beat mixing’ course runs over 20 weeks split into two terms of ten weeks. It covers all aspects of being a DJ, from components used (e.g. the turntable mixer) to safe practice and developing a DJ personality. Scratching is an advanced skill you’ll be taught when you have mastered the mix.

From house parties for friends to a gig in Singapore, this is how DJ skills tutor Clayton Benito did it.
'If anybody out there is listening and they wanna be in the music industry, just don’t give up. It’s not gonna be easy, it’s not gonna be short-term, it’s gonna take a lot of hard work and perseverance. But never give up.'
Clayton Benito – DJ skills tutor
