
Launch of ?Women in the Games Industry? on 23rd September 2004Media Training North West celebrated their work to develop women in the digital industries at the launch of ?Women in the Games Industry?, a report by Lizzie Haines, which was conducted through in-depth interviews of leading members of the international and national videogame sector outlining recruitment gaps, concerns about the absence of women in development and higher management roles as well as how the industry is addressing the lack of women in its workforce. The launch was organised in partnership with the M62 Games Network and was a great success with 50 people attending. It went on into the night with more than a few glasses of wine being drunk, while most people agreed that it was a good networking opportunity others were glad that it created support for women currently working in the industry as well as those looking to get in. return to news listing |
